Overview
Sohra, formerly known as Cherrapunji, is one of Meghalaya’s most famous tourist destinations. Located about 55 km from Shillong in the East Khasi Hills, Sohra is renowned for its dramatic landscapes, deep valleys, waterfalls, caves, and living root bridges. It is globally known for receiving some of the highest rainfall on Earth and still holds world records for rainfall in a month and a year.
